On September 22, Ontario’s Minister of the Environment, the Honourable John Gerretsen approved the Consolidated Municipal Hazardous or Special Waste Plan (CMHSW). In a letter to Waste Diversion Ontario, Minister Gerretsen requested that the program commence on July 1, 2010. CMHSW Program is designed to collect consumer hazardous and special materials so they can be recycled or disposed of safely.
